Committed to the Quality of Our Sera
Sorobras began its operations in 2011 in Aparecida de Goiânia – GO, located in the heart of Brazil. However, the company’s history and technical expertise date back much earlier.
One of its founders, Prof. Dr. Walter Pinto Júnior, a medical geneticist and Retired Full Professor of Medical Genetics at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), is considered one of the pioneers of biotechnology in Brazil, particularly in the serum production sector.
Another founder, João Roberto Rossetto — Chemical Technician and Bachelor of Chemistry — brought more than two decades of laboratory experience. Both founders spent many years working in the production of sterile filtered Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) for the Brazilian market.
Recognizing the importance of ensuring high-quality raw material, they decided to establish Sorobras together with physician Vinicius Henrique Pinto, combining tradition, innovation, and technical excellence.
Sorobras represents the shared vision and commitment of three generations of Brazilian entrepreneurs, dedicated to strengthening scientific research and supporting the global biotechnology industry through internationally standardized fetal bovine serum produced in Brazil.
